help! fisher studio standard 24 cd player giving M-Error

    got this from step grand father and all the thing dose is say M-Error i thought maybe i could reset it but i couldnt find anywhere to reset it tried everything i can thing of please help.

    I think M-Error is a reading problem with the player. Fisher Studio Standard is pretty old I think, I remember when I had their Pre-amp and Power amps, the prettiest thing I've seen on my shelf, and it was pretty tough until time caught up with it. This might be the case here. Try unplugging it and wait a minute then plug it back in see if that works. If not, it may not be worth the effort. Again Studio Standard is pretty old.

    anyone think a laser cleaner would work?
