I am still using my trusty Pioneer DVL-700 to play dvds. It has performed quite well through even the most problematic early dvds without a hitch but I've finally decided that it's time to enter the 21st century and get a progressive-scan player that actually has a DTS output. So here are my requirements:
Progressive output (I have a Sony KP 51HW40 TV)
Multi-disc changer (for the wife)
VCD playback
SVCD playback
DVD-R compatibility
DVD-RW compatibility (preferred but not absolutely necessary)
CD-R/RW compatibility
MP3 playback (preferred)
no chroma bug
I've found a list of players that have the basic features I want here but they don't report if the player suffers from the chroma bug. Does anyone have one of these players and have verified that it does not have the chroma bug? Is there a list available somewhere of all players verified to have or not have the chroma bug?
Thanks in advance.
