Help - DVD Recording (1 Viewer)

I need some assistance on how to record from a HD Comcast Digital Set Top Box with PVR. This is a brand new unit from Motorola that he just received as an upgrade from Comcast.

A friend recorded the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics in HD and I would like to get this on DVD, if possible.

My guess is that this cannot be done due to HDCP, but I would like to see what ideas everyone can offer.

You can't record HD on standard DVD. You'd have to downconvert the recording, and I don't think that can be done without professional equipment.
