    Panny Ct-30wc15 $679

    SOny 32hs510 $899

I'm thinking about both this Panny or the Sony.

I was waiting to spend my savings on a new Widescreen HD set but I can't stand SD on any of them.

I think that for the price I could use one of these for the next 2-3 years and be satisfied. Unfortunately I can't find any reference to the Panny here.

    Any help?

You haven't watched a Mitsubishi DLP yet then huh? [IMG]

The SD cable channels on my parents 52725 looks outstanding thanks to the technology they built into these sets to help clean up SD material.

Sorry I can't help with the above TV's though.(although I'd buy the cheapest one if all you want out of it is a couple of years)...you may want to check CNET or epinions.com since most folks here are pretty much into HD TV reviews etc.

    Good luck!

These are not HD sets?? I can't in good faith, suggest any SD displays in this day and age.

There is a Sanyo of all things out there, that is getting real good feedback from owners. It even includes the HD tuner from what I understand.

No, these are both HD sets, sans tuner.

Just getting an idea if this would be a smart buy right now.

Well, a post recently calls the Panny CRT's the best bargains out there right now.

I'd still be inclined to go with the Sony though...

Maybe the Panny with warranty, would be better than the Sony without it?
