I've been lurking at this great site for months, but have never posted until now. My wife and I are building a new home, and would like to have a surround system for watching movies. I currently have a pair of Klipsch KG3's that Iv'e had for years. I want to use these as my main speakers and want your opinions on rears and a center that will match. My receiver is a Pioneer 1014 and I have a sub already. I've read good things about Swan and Rockets, but am unsure which would match my Klipschs.

Our Kitchen, dining room, and living room will be one open room. The living room area where we want the surround sound will be approx 17x20. I would like to find rears and a center for 500.00-750.00 dollars. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Go to the Klipsch web site, and see what they have that is suggested to match the KG3's.

The holy grail is 5 matching speakers, but most users can't fit that into the room (particularly for the center), so the next best thing is to get whatever the vendor says are the matching rears/center.

While dissimilar speakers can still work, and many users get started that way, why not do it right in the first place?

Well, if $$$$ is an issue, do not over look the used market.

My B&W system (Series 1 604, 601, and CC6) were acquired used, and I did not buy them all at once. One can save a ton going used, and in the end, you will have the matched system that you really want.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I would like to find some used KG2's or 2.2's for the rear.
