I'm in the process of purchasing components for my first home theater system and need some help on choosing a receiver. This is what im getting so far:

Sony 50 inch SXRD 1080P KDS-50A2000 (Already purchased)
Home Theatre Reference HTS 3600 MKII PowerCenter
    SVS SBS-01 w/PB10-NSD

Now for a receiver I was thinking of one of the following:
Yamaha HTR-6090 or Pioneer Elite VSX-82TXS

    Any suggestions??

Both are great machines, you can't really go wrong with either and I'm sure there is a Marantz, H/K, and Denon equivalent you should consider and then there is a miriad of other options available at that price point.

Ideally, you should audition each reciever within your budget in an environment as close as possible to what you will have in your home and let your own ears be the judge, not mine or anyone else (unless they are your spouse and their opinion counts...)
