I've been looking for a RPTV for a month now and my two frontrunners are:

    Pioneer SD-643HD5
    Mitsubishi WS-55413

I know the pioneer doesn't have DVI, but is that really such a big deal? The Mits does have the DVI and I've always heard Mits made great TV's. But the Pioneer is 9' bigger for about the same price. I can read the specs all day long, but an opinion from someone who has actually used one of these models would help tremendously.

If anyone has any input on either of these models, or if there is another model I should consider around $2000, please let me know. Thanks to all for the help.

    Mike,
    Both TV's are excellent choices.

In January I purchased a Sony KP-57WS510 and absolutely love it.
I ran the DVE disk followed by another set of tweaks, while inside the service menu, as was recommended on this forum.
The picture is excellent for both CATV (Digital and HD) and DVD's.

Let me know how you make out.

    Best Regards, Al.
