HELP- 47tx- digital display on remote not working?? (1 Viewer)

anyone with a pioneer 47tx, I have a question on the digital display for the remote. what am I supposed to see in the digital display? everything seems to work functionally in terms of buttons, but the display is all blocked out- is there some kind of contrast switch? My remote looks like the contrast is set too high so all pixels on the display are lighting up and I can not read anything! Thanks in advance!

I have a 45Tx, hopefully the remote is similar enough for this to work.

Press and hold down the "remote setup" button for about 5 sec. This button is on the bottom row, right end on my remote.

When "Menu" appears, press the down arrow just below the enter button until "Light" is highlighted. Press enter on the remote and you will be able so select high, low, or off for the backlight on the remote display.

Hope this is what you're looking for.
