Hi, i"m Rob and I just moved to Charlotte, NC. I am in the process of building a home and I think I want to install a projector in my media room. I have tons of questions and stumbled across this forum. I hope to learn a lot, I have about 90 days to figure out what I need and how to install.

Welcome Rob! Hope we can help ya nail down some specifics.


As someone who was pre-wired for 5.1 I wish I could go back and pre-wire for 7.4.1 or more, but them's the breaks! I recommend overdoing it before you sheetrock, rather than going conservative and wishing you had run more wires afterwards!

Nice! 96" is a pretty standard size too, so don't despair if you have to step down slightly.
