Hell or High Water Finally Gets 4K Ultra HD Treatment
Hell-821x1024.jpg

Director David Mackenzie's multi-award-winning tense bank heist yarn, Hell or High Water, finally makes its way onto the ultimate home theater disc format, 4K Ultra HD, February 13th.

The 2016 theatrically-released Lionsgate thriller, which was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Jeff Bridges), Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing, will be available as a Blu-ray plus Digital Combo Pack, include Dolby Vision HDR, and a specially-mixed Dolby Atmos track for the home.

The movie recounts the exploits of a desperate brother duo (Chris Pine and Ben Foster) who, after learning that the bank is going to foreclose on their family ranch, plans a series of robberies at branches of the same institution. Hot on their tail is Marcus, a close-to-retiring Texas Ranger (Bridges), who will stop at nothing to track down the culprits, while both parties prepare themselves for a gripping showdown in the final act.

Special features included in the package are the "Enemies Forever: The Characters of Hell or High Water", "Visualizing the Heart of America" and "Damaged Heroes: The Performances of Hell or High Water" featurettes. Additionally, there are "Red Carpet Premiere" and "Filmmaker Q&A" chapter stops, so plenty for fans of this modern-day western to muse over.

With the film's stunning cinematography by Giles Nuttgens (Perfect Sense, Battlefield Earth), we can certainly expect this Dolby Vision platter to give our 4K TVs or PJs a run for their money. The combo pack from Lionsgate will be available for a suggested retail price of $22.99.
