The recent Helen of Troy mini-series is arriving on August 12th as a 2-disc set from Universal Home Video.

The complete three-hour program will be presented in anamorphic widescreen (1.78:1), Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 Surround audio. The sole bonus feature is a new 22 minute "making-of" featurette. Retail is $26.98.

Fine, but what we need is the wonderful original 1955 film directed by Robert Wise from warner Bros.

this is one good-looking disc, and a fine DTS track to boot!

Universal gets my thumbs up for best presentation 2 weeks running.

agreed, looks fabulous.
the story 's not bad too. we get to see what a brat helen was.
spread over 2 discs.
i can't wait to watch disc 2. and hopefully the theatrical release will be released someday.
i know a laser was put out near the end of the laser era.

Also looking forward to the Robert Wise theatrical original. Sorry now that I didn't snatch up the letterboxed laser disc when I saw it on store shelves some years back.
