Heat: Pacino/DeNiro dual screentime controversy (1 Viewer)

I know this has been discussed at HTF in the past but I can't find the thread where it was discussed whether Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro actually had any scenes filmed together, or was it all clever editing. Specifically, I wanted to see the promo photo that was posted of the two of them seated at the diner (in the same shot).
Anybody help me out with a link to the thread? I feel foolish not being able to find it with the search engine....
