I just bought a sony bravia 52 w series (we sit about 10 ft away) and before this, I had the sony wega flat screen crt. Just turning the tv on and looking at it for a few moments makes my eyes go cross-eyed and a pain to the back of my head. After a few days, this problem seems to have lessened a bit, but still. The hd picture is great (although the panning and scanning on HD shows like entourage make me a little queasy) and we turned off the motion enhancer in hopes it would help, but ended up turning it back on to high. We calibrated with a THX optimizer in one of the dvds we had. Also, with the standard, we can only watch with the lines down the side... any other mode, the picture is very distorted.

Is it my tv? should I return it for another bravia? A 46" bravia? Or, should i switch to samsung 650 or should i switch to plasma?

Thoughts?

most likely you are watching in Sports / Vivid mode??
It is like staring at a 500 watt light bulb.
Switch to pro / custom mode.
