Still shopping for the perfect Widescreen HDTV..but trying to consider viewing angles as I have an large, angled sofa.

The Toshiba 57HX81 boasts a 160-degree viewing angle; and having seen this set in person, I can definitely appreciate this feature (for friends sitting furthest away from the "sweet spot").

Does anyone know what the viewing angles are for the Sony, Pioneer, and Mitsubishi widescreens (> 53" TVs)??? I just can't find them referenced anywhere.

Just wondering...

I'm not sure of the exact "angle" but the Pioneer Elite and Pioneer broadline sets have the best off-axis viewing I've seen. If you're concerned you should really be looking at how much light output is lost when one stands up. The side to side viewing has been addressed well by most manufacturers. It's the vertical axis that tells a different tale.
