Anyone here contrasted the Panasonic 32HX41 with the Hitachi 32/36SDX01s/UDX01s?
I have no interest in adding an external doubler (Iscan) to it.
I've heard that the Hitachi series looks pretty good out of the box w/r/t analog cable viewing. I don't know about the Panny.
The 32" Panny or either of the 32/36" Hitachi models will fit in my existing space (35.25" wide).
I also understand the Panny does only an automatic anamorphic squeeze.. and if the DVD is flagged incorrectly, cannot be forced into the squeeze. Is this also true of the Hitachi?
Usage will be analog cable/vhs viewing along with a progressive scan RP91 DVD player. My satellite (Dish) receiver is currently on the fritz.
To sum it up, do these sets excel in both normal NTSC/VHS viewing and with PS DVD players without external add-ons?
Any outstanding pros/cons with them?
