I am considering purchasing the KV-34HS510 HDTV. I wanted to know how the HDTV hooks into the TV. I have Cox Cable and they use the Motorola DCT5100 as the HD Receiver which hooks through the Component input. Is this all compatible with the KV-34HS510? Just wanted to make sure before I made the purchase.

That Sony has two component inputs as well as a DVI input. Your DCT5100 will have at least a component HD output, although depending on the configuration, it may have a DVI out (although it is rare). Since it has both component and DVI, your TV will be fine with this setup.

So the Sony KV-34HS510's HDTV interface is through either Component or DVI? Cox cable is using Component. So I should be good to go. Has anyone tried this setup with Cox?

My DCT5100 has both the DVI and the Component. How much difference will the DVI cable make?
