Hi guys, new to the forum. I like to think I’m pretty well versed in home theater stuff but this ones got me a bit stumped. I’m running an Onkyo TX-NR 777 receiver, LG UBK90 player and an LG OLEDC8. Humble opinion, HDR10 looks much better than Dolby Vision through my set up but most discs I play default to DV even though it says they’re in both formats. I’ve checked what I believe to be every setting but can’t find a way to default it to HDR10. Does anyone know of a fix or way around this? Thanks for the help!

With an OLED TV, DV really should be the best reproduction, if the TV is properly calibrated. That's the rub though, calibration.

Some UHD players have a menu setting to disable DV. The other option is to replace your player with a Panasonic UB420, which doesn't have DV.
