Is HDMI superior than analog in video and audio ?why is it better ? right now im using coponent video cable for video and analog cable for audio, should I upgrade to HDMI?

hdmi is probably going to be the future solution to connecting gear.

bottom line - it's a single cable that carries both digital video (hd) and digital audio (multi-channel). no more running a mass of cables all over the place.
