HDMI to VGA issue (1 Viewer)

Hello. Thanks for your help.

I am having a display issue with HDMI devices (Blu-Ray and Firestick) running through my ONKYO TX-NR609 to an old Toshiba TDP S25 projector. The projector supports VGA and RCA. The picture comes out distorted and purple.

BLU-RAY >hdmi> receiver > hdmi out >convert to VGA > projector

I have also tried:

BLU-RAY >convert to VGA > projector

I know i need to upgrade my projector but its not in the budget anytime soon so Im hoping for a way around it.

Any ideas?

Try changing the Colorspace output on the bluray. Look for something that looks like this "YCbCr/RGB/ColorSpace" and change it to RGB and see if that helps. It may work but then again, it may not.
