Hi HTF experts!

I need a straightforward HDMI switch, preferably with a remote. One output, two inputs. Pretty simple. There is a selection of these on Amazon.ca with varying prices. Some have ac plugins to provide power, some do not.

What I am looking to know is - what sort of length of output cable to my projector should I reasonably expect to get away with? I am anticipating that I will need a cable of approx. 20 feet to plug in. This is in a studio setting where the projector is ceiling mounted. An HDMI input socket is mounted on the wall leading to the projector, so that might be an addition 10 feet or more. So in total we may be talking about 30 feet of cable in total from whatever switch I buy, to the projector.

What should I be looking for in a device that I can be sure can maintain the signal across this length, or am I asking too much?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice!

It's no longer available from Amazon, but I've been using the splitter below with a 25' HDMI cable to my projector for about five years now and haven't had any issues. You may want one with AC or USB power boost to maintain the signal if you're going with a cable longer than that or introducing another transition/cable into the mix. Mine does not have a remote. I have to physically press the button when I want to switch displays.

I don't recall for sure where I got the 25' cable, but it's a very thick, heavy duty wire. I think it was probably from Blue Jeans Cable as they used to be a forum sponsor.
