Hey all first post here, Let me start by sayin hello and I look forward to learning alot from you guys during my Home theater installation. I would like to start from the begining. My theater is gonna have an lcd mounted on the wall for every day use and when I want to watch the projector I am going to have the motorized screen come down in front of the lcd. My equipment is going to be housed in a closet, Out of site. So that's it briefly. So my first order of business is going to be the wiring. I was going to get 2 fifty foot HDMI cables one for the lcd and one for the projector. Then I happen to see these.HDMI WALLPLATE DECORA CAT5E EXTENDER 150 FEET WHTE
Has anyone had any experience with these. They would save me alot of money due to the fact I already have the cat 6 on hand.

yeah, they work fine. I have seen a demo where a display was hooked up with an hdmi cable, and another was hooked up with hdmi via two cat5e's. To top it off, they made the cat5e's longer than neccasary and wound them all around in a rats nest. They pictura quality was undisiguishable between the two. I have a set that I will soon be installing for the first time- I feel confident that I may never need to buy a long and expensive hdmi cable again!

I don't know how new these punch downs are for the HDMI, but If there new I bet we will see a big drop in price on the long length pre-terminated HDMI cables. Thanks for the info Brandon. I will go with it.
