I am weakening and being tempted after deciding to sit on the fence to after Christmas but at Amazon's price..... But does this have the latest software upgrade? Help.

I doubt it but it's real easy to update the firmware either via your LAN connection, downloading the file and burning a CDR, or simply have Toshiba send you the latest firmware CD. Version 2.0 is the latest and there is a rumor going around that version 2.1 is coming soon.

I downloaded version 2.0 about a week or so ago. I think mine came with 1.3 installed back in mid August?
