I have below media devices:

Philips 5.1 home theater HTS3152
LG HD LED: LG 43LF6300 LED TV
Set top box: Airtel HD

Per my observation, home theater does not have HDMI or optical input/output. TV and airtel HD set top box both have HDMI and optical input.

I am looking for a solution to get surround sound from TV to home theater For broadcasted channels.

I could get sound in one of the speaker through MP3 in or analog in however it defeats the purpose.
I am ohk to buy some kind of converter or adapter if required.

Hello Ashok welcome to the forum.

From what I can see you're working with a HTiB unit and a set top box with different kinds of input/output types. The lack of any kind of digital input on that DVD -HTiB unit is going to make it harder to get this to work but certainly not impossible. You'll need something like this optical to RCA converter to make this happen. You can either come off the set top or the TV, which ever is easier for you, then into aux in on the head unit. This should get you going but don't be surprised if it's stereo in auto detect mode. You'll have to pick a DPL flavor to get all 5 speakers going but it will work.
