I'm getting a new HR10-250 (Directv HD Tivo ) installed tomorrow along with an OTA antenna. Does anyone know what to expect in terms of HD reception for my local channels? I am in Novato, CA (Marin County- SF Bay Area)

If you get your local analog channels decently with an antenna then the digital ones should be fine. If you currently do not use an antenna you might check with some of your neighbors who do to see if they are happy with their analog reception.

This thread will probably soon be moved to the Audio/Video Sources forum, by the way.

Everything on the Antenna on Twin Peaks as long as you have enough gain.
NBC CH11 is in South San Jose and I can't get it from the City on my 3rd story roof antenna.
Doubt if you need a rotor since they are all on the same structure
    Good Luck!

The DirectV installer wouldn't even bother installing the antenna for me. He said there was was no way I would get any OTA reception. : > (
