We all hope so. However, Blue Laser DVD is in the very early stages of development and has a long run ahead before coming to market. How long? I wish I knew.

However, I personally don't really like either current proposal for HD-DVD: Blue Laser or Red Laser MPEG 4. FMD (Fluorescent Multilayer Optical Disc)looked more like a step in the right direction -- something to not just match the D-VHS technically, but far surpass it.

I feel HD-DVD should be at least twice as better than D-VHS. The two current proposals are NOT (ignoring the format difference of course).

Anyone have any stats on DVHS resolution? it's at least an interesting option, but I'd hate to go back to a tape format (shudder.)
