Is a HD-15 & a DB-15 connector the same. What about XGA and VGA, are they the same?

Any help would be great.

Drew,
I don't believe that a DB-15 connector is the same as a HD-15 connector. If my memory is working -- which seems to be a rare thing these days :) -- a DB-15 connector has 2 rows of pins (8 on top, 7 on bottom) and the HD-15 has 3 rows of 5 pins. The joystick ports found on PCs are DB-15 and the analog monitor ports are HD-15.
As for your other question, XGA and VGA definitions can be found here.

There is the HD-VGA 15 pin or VGA-HD 15 connector which has 3 rows of 5. It's the VGA 15 pin item that should be easy to find. That sounds like what you want.
