I'll forever be in this show's debt due to Alexandra Daddario's presence on this show.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, this show is absolutely phenomenal: it's about as close to perfect as a show can get these days. Without a shred of hyperbole, this is storytelling at its finest.
Some comments are worth repeating.
I get why they are but I wish HBO wasn't skipping this coming week for the Super Bowl.
This show reminds me a lot of 'Rectify' with the pacing, storytelling and attention to detail.
McConaughey is owning that role though. Might as well just hand him the Emmy now.
I just watched the first three in a row. I only plan on watching one though, but I couldn't stop until I watched all three.
Just started this last night due to the buzz on, of all things, the HPLovecraft subreddit on reddit. 1 down two to go, avoiding spoilers till then.
You are avoiding spoilers yet going on Reddit? You are brave, sir.
true true. Halfway through third episode now. Will be caught up tonight!
Well, if this is a one shot deal and is as successful as it has started, think of the possibilities. You will get renewable star power as there is not a long term commitment. Why not take a one season chance and forego a movie role.. How many A-listers might take a shot at something like this?
I'm loving this show so far. It's the top of my DVR watch list right now.
Tremendous, gripping final sequence to episode 4: simply one of the best action sequences I've ever seen on television.
Here's an interesting piece on how the final 6-minute sequence in a single shot.
Yeah Crazy episode this week
Totally agreed Josh!
The mid-season signature "one shot" from episode 4 feels like Casino meets Grand Theft Auto meets Sons of Anarchy. Just exceptional!
The MTV article was good but didn't actually have the clip, this one does:
Well I started watching this today, and ended up watching all five episodes. What a terrific show. It's like an 8 hour feature film.Tonight's episode really turned the story on its ear.
Yeah I figured they were gunning for Rust from the start, but I wonder
if it's the right partner they are after???
Great product placement for T-Mobile.
And Segway, son of a gun if they werent available in 2002 after all.http://www.segway.com/about-segway/segway-milestones.php
Great episode tonight, as all of the previous ones have been.
Only two more shows to go... as I watch I keep thinking about possible future pairings. I would love to see Hanks in a role like this. Or Pacino.
My only complaint is that it's going down the now stereotyped road of Christian church as a front for diabolical pseudo-pagan serial killer cult.
