Problem #1: when my speker eq is set to "small" there is no sound that comes out of the rear speakers.
Problem #2: i cant get my reciver to read DD or DTS i have used coaxil and optical and still cant get my reciver to read DD/DTD. My DVD player is set up for digital output and i am selecting 5.1 on the DVD menus.
Problem #3: i cant figure out why the max volume on my reciver is -8db while everyone elses is 0db. My reciver is a kenwood 6050. Once i figure these 3 things out i think my HT will be complete.

Hi. I think I can help you on the last one. If you have one of your speakers set at +8 in the test tones menu, then it will affect your volume setting.
    Hope this helps.

    Greetings,

Regarding problem #2 - Ensure that you have assigned the digital input on your receiver that your player is connected to, to the DVD mode. Have you tested standard CD's on your DVD player to see if they will play through it's digital output?
