Have you seen this portable DVD? Too good to be true?

    It's probably some re-badged Chinese player--maybe a Shinco? I've seen them go for around that price. I think the catch is that there are ZERO specs on that unit.

    Best Buy had an off-brand portable (Minitek?) advertised for a little over $300, so this price is not that surprising. My big concern would be the quality of the product. What's the quality control on the LCD screen, and how many software bugs will you experience?

    The catch is that it's a total scam!
    The warranty page talks about how they'll credit your charge card back if you return the unit, but the order page informs you that they don't take charge cards, only electronic debits.
    These guys want your checking account information.

    too bad someone couldn't open a checking account for that exact amount, and see what happens...I bet they'd drain every penny out of it!
