Hi all, Eric the newbie again. I've just joined your wonderful forum & already my 2nd topic. I know this may sound like a strange question & this may not be the right place to ask it, but humor me for a moment. I believe that as you build your hometheater it takes on its own character. Some setups are smooth and melodious while others are brute and earthshaking, while others are weak & pitiful (like my brother-in-laws Bose system.) Anyway as you build your system through careful calibration & tweaking the components synergize with each other. The system develops its own persona. I nicknamed my 5.1 setup "The Beast." Of course compared to some of your setups it is a mere fledgling but that's what I called it. The Beast feeds off of electricity. It savors widescreen anamorphic, DTS encoded DVDs,and given the chance would eat my brother-in-laws Bose system for a midnight snack! With each upgrade the Beast grows stronger. In fact when I upgraded recently to 7.1 with the addition of the 3802 and RT55s, the system was recommissioned as the "Superbeast." (After my favorite Rob Zombie song). For those who read my other post, my next addition will be either 5ch amp or a SVS 20-39. I'm not sure what I will call it then. Anyways back to the original query. Do you have a nickname for your system? If you don't, what do you think would be a good name for it? Is it male or female? Granted my friends say that I go overboard in my love of hometheater, and I'm writing this at 3am CST and will probably wonder what I was thinking when I see this tomorrow, but just curious. fellow hometheater enthusiast, ------------------ Eric, "Do not try and end your upgrading. That's impossible. Instead, only try and realise the truth." " What truth?" "There is no end to upgrading"
