Throwing a glass cup against a wall or punching a window so that seemingly invisible barrier is shattered. Perhaps punching a mirror that holds your reflection like that scene with Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now. Maybe even launching your fist through the computer screen you're looking at right now.

Have you ever felt like breaking something and then came to realize how much of a mess it would make of your fist or your surroundings or how much it would cost to replace said item so you refrain altogether? For that matter have you acted on your urge and just did it regardless of consequence?

Yes. I punched my wall mirror once out of anger. The initial sound of glass breaking, the crack, is a wonderful sound. I can't describe it....perhaps it had more of an emotional effect because it was my fist that made it. It was only a $10 Walmart mirror and I only suffered a few cuts on my hand. The clean up was a bitch though.

If someone else would clean up the mess...I'd do it again.
I'd have to be really mad to do it, because injuries can be severe, and I rely on my hands for a living.

I've been tempted to throw stuff at the TV during hockey games... does that count? [IMG]

Definitely, Richard. I've often thought of throwing a heavy object at the TV.

I punched a hole in the wall during the FL/UGA game last year. I also punched a hole in a bedroom door once after I broke a few things in the bedroom.

I will not do that again. Cost me 60 bucks to buy a new door and paint it and fixing the wall was a total pain in the ass. It felt good for maybe 3 seconds.

I'd like to break a bottle in half like Marge/Blanche did in the Simpsons episode "A Streetcar Named Marge".

I've punched a few walls in my day... The last time I did it, I hit a door frame, chiefly with the knuckles of my ring and pinky fingers. My hand was swollen (and horribly painful) for a few days, which taught me to release my pent-up anger by working out instead [IMG]

The Canucks losing to the Wild last year made me want to break the TV.

I have really wanted to throw my PS2 out the window on many occasions. Controllers go flying into the ground frequently, havet broken one so far though.

YEP only punch through a thin door at work....felt great!!!

Now when I get angry, I just pick up and throw a CPC or CHEP pallet around the backroom at work. It onl;y takes a couple(at 90pounds a pop) to "release the rage"!!!

Early macintoshes had two buttons on the back. They had a real purpose, but the most fun was holding them in on boot. One would make a shattering glass sound, and the other a car crash sound.

That's about as exciting as I get.

I was trying to open a window that had been painted shut and accidentally put my hand through it. I had to get stitches, but I clearly remember it like it was in slomo. I remember seeing the shards flying outward and that distinct glass breaking sound. Then I remember looking down at my hand gushing blood and a flap of skin hanging off my skin. It was cool.

I was going insane in CHI252 (Modern Chinese Literature) today, and I was all up and ready to throw my bookbag out of the window. The stories I have to read for that class make me lose my will to live.
