Hey what can I say I try to give honest advice.. There are
many brands to choose from and generaly the best thing is
to listen with your ears but I had already owned the lower
lines of AR and they were rock solid plus I had listening
experiance with the legendary vintage pieces from AR and
have had a fancy for the company for years.

I just hope Gemini does something good with AR or sells
them to someone who will!

I will say this much.. My 9's retailed for $999.00 and at
full retail I think they are comprable to others in that
price range. But at the $585.00 I paid brand new there is
not a whole lot of competition not even for DIY Towers for
that amount of money! And everyone that hears them tends
to agree with me (or I shoot em!) LOL

I bought my Dynaudio Contour 1.3mkII's without a listen but I HARDLY call that a gamble! ;)

I guess it wasn't totally blind. I had heard the 1.3SE and the 1.8, just couldn't afford those...
