Have my DVD player repaired? (1 Viewer)

Would like opinions on whether or not to have my Onkyo DV-C501 repaired. I haven't yet had it diagnosed, but best case scenerio looks like about $100 to have it repaired. I've had the unit for 4 years and paid $300 for it new. Has technology advanced enough with DVD players for me to be able to get something comparable for about the cost it will take to repair this one? Thanks!

Paul, yes. Just look around you and read the specs. Read the posts here. Plenty of really good (and really cheap) players available.

Tough call.. because I have learned if you really like a player, I mean even beyond PQ and Sound, it may be tough to find one you like as well.
