Hey guys,

I decided I'm going to try 6.1 after hearing a buddies. I never tried it before because I didn't think I had enough room but I'm going to give it a shot. My question is this reveiver is a 7.1 but I only want to do 6.1. Can I do this? If so where would I connect the 6th channel to? On the back of the receiver it has surround B for both left and right. Than it has SB/Multi left and right. Based on the diagram it shows surround B is used for the 7.1. So if I just connect one speaker will it send both rear signals to the one speaker?

If you go to the system set up menu, go to "speaker configuration" and there should be an option to select whether you want one or two speakers for your rear channel.
