I recently purchased black hawk down for DVD and the sound is lacking things that i heard in the theater. I watched it in a THX teater in NYC. For example the copper noises are almost gone in the scene where they are flying by the beach toward the moge. My theater isn't exactly thx stuff but the dvd seem to be lacking deep bass. It just does not sound as full. has anyone else notice that or is it just that my subwoofer sucks.

    Eric,
I too noticed awesome sound in the theater. I don't believe it was a THX theater, but the DD track they used was incredible. The whole time I was thinking to myself "man this is going to make for awesome DVD sound" with DTS in mind no doubt. So with the discovery that the first BHD was going to be a bare bones version, I opted to wait until the Superbit version gets released hopefully next year [IMG]
I believe a DTS track will improve upon what everyone I've talked to is agreeing on , which is subpar bass on the DD track.
    Later!
