I noticed the Canadian version is a 2-disc set with an isolated soundtrack, but is by a different distributor than the USA version. Has anyone pre-ordered this?

Thanks for the link. It was a bit higher than another site, but I thought I should patronize one of the advertisers on this forum.

I didn't know LasersEdge carried the Canadian version. I just ordered from DVD Soon. (With my fingers crossed... but I did order "Philosopher's Stone" from them and had no problem. At least they have a toll-free number, unlike North American DVD.)

www.cd-wow.net also has it and at a cheaper price shipped.
Hmm, looks like CD Wow is the same as DVD Box Office, which has decidedly mixed customer reviews on DVD Price Search: 41% of respondents said they would not order them DVD Box Office again. Which admittedly is better than DVD Soon's 64% that would not order from them again!

Hmmm, cd-wow's (new to me) prices are somewhat more than amazon.ca on everything I checked...don't know if amazon.ca ships to the U.S., but the 3 disc The Pianist is ~US$20. Might be cheaper in stores here, so I'm going to wait to see the advertised prices next week.

Hmm, that's odd, I wonder why. They offer the U.S. version to Canadians (pretty much the same price for The Pianist), the U.S. discs are usually designated by "import".

Unfortunately, their web site says that if you live in the US, they will only ship you the US version.
Hmmm, didn't see that anywhere (I'm sure it's in the fine print). I pre-ordered the three disc version tonight and my order was accepted.

I've had really good luck with Amazon.ca in the past year. I order all my box sets from them, often at astounding prices. Shipping is reasonably priced and fairly quick to Texas. This is the first time I've tried a Canadian exclusive, however. We'll see what happens.
