Looking to get a new player. Currently have a Sony 700P. I was wondering if anyone here has previously owned a 700P progessive DVD player and now owns a Panny RP-82? Are you happy with your decision? Can you tell a difference in picture quality? The 82 should produce a better picture than the 700, right?? I know the chroma bug is one area the 82 is better. If you are a 82 owner without previously owning a 700 please still comment.

Scott, Do you mean the sony ns700p if so I owned it and its a good player I upgraded to the rp 91 and it is a night and day difference. The scalling feature is great and the pic is awesome and I get dvda as well[IMG] I noticed that some times with the sony a good portion of movies looked a bit grainy never with the panny I am very happy with my choice and I wont be upgrading any time soon[IMG] I believe the rp 82 has a great pic as well but It does not have the scaling feature!
