I have a small noise situation in my place I've posted about before. I think my solution is going to be putting up a layer or two of homasote then texturing and painting it.
I'm wondering if anyone has used it before? It won't be an ideal installation, putting the 'sote over existing drywall, but still hopefully will be effective?
any thoughts? the product info is at www.homasote.com
I'll be using the 440 sound barrier.

I have had to use it on projects and the guys usually put up construction adhesive and then nail or screw it to the wall with coarse thread drywall screws. The main thing is to be carefull not to go completely though the homosote. Once the glue dries it will stay up OK.
