You know the one with Mark Dacascos? I haven't seen this anywhere, but I know it's out. Does anyone know if this widescreen? None of the internet sites indicate, what format it is in. Thanks

I have this ordered from Amazon to come with ST VI.
It is sadly full screen, but I have not been able to determine if it is PS or open matte. I always thought this was direct to video, where 1.33 would be correct....

I'm quite convinced that I remember the R0 PAL director's cut of Drive was in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen.

If you have a PAL compatible setup, then grab that instead, since it's around 12 minutes longer, has the original score, and an excellent special edition of the film overall, with commentary, retrospective, and six more deleted scenes.

I'm Pal/Region free on my PC, where I do most of my viewing. I'll check into it.
Thanks! I remember loving this movie when I saw it on VHS years ago....

This is one of the GREAT unknown action flicks.

There's a scene where Dacascos completely tears up 6 dudes with cattle prods while wearing his boots on his hands.

    It's insane.

Didn't see any HKL release, but I just ordered the R2 Prizm release which looks like a nice package, Thanks for the heads up Scott!
It ended up being cheaper than buying the R1 plus I get cut scenes and anamorphic widescreen!

Yes, I just watched it this afternoon. [IMG]

It was released under the label "Medusa Pictures" and distributed by Hong Kong Legends. It looks like the Prism release is the same (although I imagine the HKL trailers on the disc have been replaced). Also, the Medusa/HKL was R0 PAL, despite some websites listing it as R2. Don't know if the region coding has been added to the Prism release or not.

The Medusa disk is the Prizm release!
I went to the section with other trailers and it was all about HKL!

Have to say thanks once again for recommendng this release! it is SOOOO much better than that P&S R1 release.

    Great movie!
