Was at my local Wal-Mart yesterday, and noticed they had the Harry Potter Chamber of Secerts game out for the XBOX, PC, GBA, GBC, and PSX, didn't see the GC or PS2 versions, but I was really suprised seeing as this game wasn't even supposed to ship until the 15th, didn't see anything about this else where, just thought I'd give the heads up for people looking for this game. Haven't played it yet, but I'm anxious too.

I was at CompUSA today and they had cases of the PC version out and XBox versions in the rack. So I think the release date got moved up so it's in the stores before the Chamber of Secrets hits the theaters.

Curious about this one too. Waiting for reviews of course.... with it being EA, best not get ones hopes up although their last HP game on the original Playstation scored fairly well.

I see. I did just notice the gamecube version of COS scored a very good 8.9 over at IGN (no box review yet) which is surprisingly terrific news.

What bugs me is each game has its own little exclusive feature. I heard if you are a Potter fan though, they are great.

Hehe, no problem, Gary. I am hoping the X-box version will also score an 8.9 or possibly a 9.0. It seems EA are doing rather well with franchise tie ins lately, Buffy, Two Towers and now Potter. Could 007 Nighftire (also Eurocom I believe) also impress?

I kind of doubt it, Dan, based on the PC demo, anyway.

Hmmm. You'd think Bond be the easiest license not to screw up... We shall see. I never tried the PC demo,

IMO, Agent Under Fire was as bland as unflavored icemilk, so the new Bond is defintely a rent first for me. The new Potter game looks very similar to the last, but I'm sure by niece & nephews will dig it.

    Thanks...

8.7 for the X-Box version at IGN..... A jolly good fellow (you know who you are [IMG] ) allowed me a peak at the review, and despite it being two points lower than the cube one, the X-Box seems to win with the 5.1 and incredibly steady framerate. Seems we have another winner here!

I find unflavored icemilk super-delicous! Maybe I should check this Agent Under Fire out.

If anyone hasn't bought the PS2 version yet...DON'T. It has the most annoying loading screen I've ever seen. Whenever you go to a new area, that needs to be loaded, the screen pops up with a load bar. The loading bar fills up, then fills up the other way, then reverses, etc.... Why couldn't they have made the loading bar fill up once slower. Kind of like GTA when you start the game but obviously shorter.

And for those of you looking for a cheap buy in Canada, Future Shop is selling this for $40 for the Cube version. I played this one and it was quite fun. I was endlessly amused with the gnome-tossing game.
Phew, talk about a thread resurrection on this puppy [IMG].
