Of course there isn't much of HL available on DVD, but I have the 2 Kino Slapstick Symposium volumes on him, plus the 3 volume set releases by New Line Cinema. Something that's confused me, is the run times of the films. There are a couple that overlap on both the Kino and New Line sets. For example, on Kino, Grandma's Boy runs 61 minutes, and the New Line version runs just 56 minutes.

Are there scenes missing/added on the overlapping films, or is the speed projection/runtime changed? Different prints? I've looked it up, but haven't found any answers yet.

Thx-

Likely due to different frames-per-second (fps) settings being used in the mastering of the different versions.
