I am in the beginning stages of getting a room ready for the transformation. I have the A/V eqipment and the room has had wiring put in from a previous owner. I still have a decision to make as where to place the A/V eqipment. It's come down to a hall closet or in the room in a cabinet. Prior to having the closet as an option, I puchased a Harmony 880 remote to eliminate the many other remotes.

My question is this: Will the Hot Link Pro work with the 880?

I know that Logitech makes a RF receiver but it does not work with the 880.

If the Hot Link Pro does not work with the 880, what will?

All suggestions are appreciated

Thanks-Paul

Could you please give some details or link to the Hot Link Pro? If it is an IR relay system, then it should work. I use my Harmony 880 with ChannelPlus IR equipment.

Sorry: forgot about the link

Here's the link to the hot link pro: smarthome.com/8225p.html

It appears that it's an IR extension. I would think that if the 880 works like your other remotes than there should be no problem.

The 880 will work fine with that equipment. Remember that it outputs the same IR signal as your stock remotes.

You could go much cheaper buy buying stuff from Partsexpress.com That's what I did and it was very simple and easy to setup. Same thing as the HotLink, but cheaper.
