I picked up a pair of these on a whim for a friend. They were $99 for the pair; unopened, although dusty, box. I haven't heard them yet, and I likely won't till I see my friend. But I'm curious, are these adequate speakers or are they total crap? Their intended use will be very modest, mostly music.

    Specs:
    Code:
Maximum Recommended Amplifier Power: 150 Watts
     Nominal Impedance: 8 Ohms
     Sensitivity (2.83V @ 1m): 89dB
     Frequency Response (-6dB): 55Hz - 20kHz
     Crossover Frequency: 2800Hz
     High-Frequency Transducer: 3/4" Titanium-laminate dome, shielded
     Low-Frequency Transducer: 6" Polymer-coated cone, shielded
     Enclosure Design: Bass reflex

Do these compare favorably to the JBL E-30s?

Well we hooked these up today. They sound pretty damn good. Much better than I was expecting. Just a nice, full sound. Definately worth the $99.
