I bought this receiver in january the day before the superbowl and its still in like new condition. the remote that came with the receiver sucked while the receiver was pretty good. I called the customer rep at H/K and they told that there were some design flaws with the remote and that they will send a newly designed remote at no charge. The new remotes works great, and the reciever itself works great. But I am looking to get the H/K 510 or Pioneer 909s, so I am selling for 400 dollars shipping included.
The perfect centerpiece for your home theater, audio, or multi-room system, the AVR 310 offers incredible ease of use, superb sound, and innovative features galore. For starters, H/K's brainy EzSet™ remote has a built-in microphone and SPL sensor for automatically optimizing your home theater speaker levels. Plus, it can learn the codes from all your other remotes, controlling up to 8 components in all.
Dual-room/dual-source audio capability extends your entertainment options; there's even a separate remote control included for the second room! In the main room, you're treated to clean reproduction of today's cutting-edge digital sources thanks to 50 watts x 5 channels (60 x 2 stereo) of high-current power. And not only do you get tons of back-panel inputs (see "Key Features" below), but you get front-panel optical and coaxial digital inputs (the coax input can even be switched for use as an output!).
Built-in processing is impressive: Dolby® Digital, DTS, and Pro Logic™ decoding; exclusive 5.1 Logic 7® modes (Music and Cinema) that produce 5.1-channel sound from 2-channel analog, digital (PCM), or surround-encoded sources; 192kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters; and MP3 decoding for use with compatible components (or PC sound cards) that can send an MP3 bitstream through an optical or coaxial digital connection. Versatile bass management options include a selectable low-pass filter (40, 60, 80, or 100 Hz).
