I am looking to buy this receiver, but had a question about the speaker wire connection type. The HK website said the speaker wire terminal are of the "Binding Post" variety. I just bought banana plugs for all speaker connections and was wondering if they will work with the kind of connectors on the AVR230? If not, can you modify the HK binding posts to accept banana plugs? Thanks!

John, banana plugs will work great, no mod require. I just installed this receiver for a friend couple days ago. Goodluck!

Yeah, when it says "binding posts", what you're really being told is that the connectors are not the wretched, cheesy "clampdown" clips that serve only to tear up your stranded wire and work only with 16 ga. and thinner wire.

Binding posts are EXACTLY what you want in your receiver's and speakers' connects.
