I'm hoping to get a little insight on an issue i'm having this morning.
My AV receiver turns on but then doesn't respond to anything. no signal, no audio, nothing. I've disconnected everything from the receiver and just hooked up the power. The amber light comes on as soon as there is power. I can turn it on just fine but then it just "freezes" and it doesn't respond to any button presses or volume changes.
I tried to hard reset it. Turn it off and hold down the Surround Sound button on the receiver for a few seconds. When I do that, it turns on and I see the word "Reset" but again, it just freezes and doesn't respond. "Reset" is displayed until I turn it back off.
Any thoughts on what my options are besides purchasing a new receiver? The receiver is about 5-6 years old.
