It's a Ulysses thing...James Joyce.

Isn't today the hundredth anniversary marking the day?

Take care,
Chuck (happy he listens to NPR from time to time)

Can't get away from it here. Every newspaper, radio show and tv channel is wall to wall Joyce. And less than 1% of the population has even read it :)

I didn't say I liked the book.

I read it first when I was 13 (I was a strange adolescent) and thought I sort of liked it. I then reread it years later and I think it's an interesting experiment but not one to be repeated.

In answer to queries, yesterday was the 100th anniversary of the date the book is set in (all the 'action' in the book is set over one day).

I can be counted as one who does like the book--Finnegan’s Wake is the one I’d call an interesting experiment. Or would if I’d ever managed to get much beyond 100 pages. :)
