To casts, crews, fans, etc. the world over, in honor of the premiere airing on NBC, Sept. 8, 1966. It's been a wonderful ride.

    Live long and prosper.

I'll be celebrating by watching "The Man Trap" tonight. Many thanks to the folks that have allowed us to boldly go... over the last 40 years!

A local arts group is throwing a free bash at a local concert venue tonight, showing "The Man Trap," then "Yesterday's Enterprise" with a Q&A with the screenwriter Eric Stilwell and then a fan film "Starship Exeter: The Tressaurian Intersection." I'm going for at least the first two. The fan film looks well made, but...y'know.

    40 years. Wow.

Now I feel old. [IMG] ... and I discovered TOS in the 70s! (I'm 37.)

I watched it when it orginally aired. It was on at 11 PM EST for me. It was about 15 years later that I got to see the Enterprise with color. I never thought that the ship was blue.

I'm late making a post here! I was just in Seattle over the September 8th Weekend for the 40th Anniversary Celebration and Gala for Star Trek. Had a toast in the Space Needle with many cast members from TOS that night.

The future sure looks bright for this franchise. Who would have thought that this little TV show would still be around today! And a new refurbished version of TOS in HD with digital effects will make it's premiere this weekend on most former UPN stations! (Albiet in SD)

    Star Trek lives!
