It's been some time since a new title has appeared from the Hammer Studio. Has then been any rumors of future releases? Thanks.

QUATERMASS AND THE PIT really needs a new 16:9 enhanced wide screen transfer. Hopefully, we'll be seeing it in the near future on DVD.

Need the Universal titles - which, if the studio continues with their current trend toward finally getting out their catalog titles, might happen for Halloween...? - plus a release of the first QUATERMASS film (aka THE CREEPING UNKNOWN) and TWINS OF EVIL. Columbia might give us THE GORGON, etc. Still a bunch of unreleased stuff out there.

Columbia have over 30 titles in their library, very few of them have seen the light of day!

Very strange, I remember at the time it was reported to have a new 5.1 mix. My memory's gone, obviously. [IMG]

I wonder when Captain Kronos will be released? Hopefully soon. Crazy film. I'm confident that is will be a good DVD edition from Paramount.

The early Anchor Bay releases really need new transfers from component masters. Dracula: Prince of Darkness, The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires, The Satanic Rites of Dracula and Quatermass and the Pit, were from old composite laserdisc masters and full of video artifacts.

Don't forget that Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell is being released as well (probably alongside Captain Kronos).

Revenge of Frankenstein was already released by Columbia, what others do they have?

Warner has Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed planned for next year. [IMG]

I really wish Universal would get with it & release Brides of Dracula & Curse of the Werewolf. [IMG]

Would sure like to see all the Hammers on DVD, but especially the Columbia pirate flicks...would be smart to release them soon to capitalize on the success of POTC.
