Is anyone as frustrated as me over Warner's negligence of their classic Hammer films on DVD? With MGM blessing us with the generous "Midnite Movies" series, can't Warner do the same for CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, HORROR OF DRACULA, DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE, TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA, DRACULA A.D. 1972, FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED, SHE, WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH and MOON ZERO TWO. The first two are getting a "maybe" in 2003, and the rest are getting a "when pigs fly." I'm sick of this major studio hogging their titles. Why don't you just do the right thing and license these titles to Anchor Bay???? This is not the last you'll here about this, Warner!

    Welcome to the forum George.
I don’t know when the titles you list will be released but I saw a collection of his 13 short horror stories in Best Buy the other day. They were from a 1980 TV series.
Here’s the link for the set at Amazon:

I also think it's a crime that Warner thinks so little of their catalog titles including the Hammer films. This studio doesn't deserve to own such great films. What makes me even angrier is that they are unwilling to license these films out.

They're not releasing them because they won't make enough money from them. So why can't they license them out?! It's very frustrating to watch Warner sit on so many great catalog titles while MGM does a kick-ass job of getting even the most obscure genre films out there.

It's simple. Warner Home Video has its collective head up its collective ass. I'm buying The Mummy (1959) to send them a message but they surely won't understand it. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Don't care what it takes, but all of the Hammer films in the Warner library MUST be release on DVD.

Remember all to bring this up (Hammer Films) on the chat on Tuesday 10/16, but I fear we'll get nowhere!
